Team Noah’s Royal Runners Celebrate Princess Half Weekend

Magic was in the air for the fairy tale event of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. More than 100 Team Noah runners traveled from across the country to join forces in support of curing pediatric brain cancer. The weekend was a great time to meet and get to know our Team Noah runners, making it a rewarding experience for Noah’s Light Foundation staff and runners alike.

At the Disney’s Fit for a Princess Expo, our booth was a great place to get to know our runners and expo visitors. Meeting Team Noah members in this high-energy environment afforded us the opportunity to chat with them one on one. We also met many runners who hadn’t previously known about Noah’s Light Foundation, so our staff and volunteers had plenty of opportunities to educate the public about our cause.

Evening events brought together runners in a joyful, celebratory environment. These events provided ample opportunity to thank Team Noah members, as the runners make a significant difference in the funding for a pediatric brain cancer cure. Friday night, our 10K runners gathered at a casual hors d’oeuvres party to celebrate their upcoming run. The carefree get together was a good opportunity to get to know one another.

Our signature event on Saturday evening celebrated our Glass Slipper and Half Marathon runners, along with special guests. While everyone enjoyed their dessert, which featured custom Noah’s Light Foundation logo chocolates, Dr. Laurence Cooper and Vidya Gopalakrishnan, PhD  shared successes in research of The NOAH Protocol. Charity Founder Amber Larkin thanked Team Noah runners and expressed just how “Happy” we are they joined us with a video made just for them. All guests were presented with a commemorative patch on which runners could write in the name of the person for whom they would dedicate their run the next morning.

The crowning moment of the weekend, however, happened at the our finish line tent. After Team Noah runners crossed the finish line, they received their special edition – Team Noah Princess Half Weekend medal. Many thanks to all our supporters!
